As I've already posted, I'd be happy to design the cover, ect for it! I will do this FOR FREE, however, I don't think that getting the covers printed professionally (We're trying to be professional, right?!) would be free.
I'd be happy to get a quote to get them printed (say a batch of 50), and contribute to it (I want one of MY films in there as well).
However, I feel that just asking the organisers to fund it it totally unfair, and I really would be happier to contribute, rather than pay everyone elses fare... I mean, it's ALL of our FILMS, so why does ONE PERSON have to pay for the DVD?
If we can have 1 place to send the contributions and submissions, they could be dealt with and returned, and the money distributed amongst the organisers, not as a commercial venture, just to cover out of pocket expenses...

Although I do agree that its unfair to have one person pay out for the whole DVD production (being baised seeing as its me so far).
The major problem that I have with "submission fees" is that if someone pays ?5 towards the costs, they will think that their film will definately be on the DVD... however if they submit a really poor film... should we include it on the DVD?
There is only limited space on the DVD, and I've had quite a few filmmakers interested at the moment... its going to be tough to turn films away - especially when we're trying to make this a success and get everyone involved!
But if people are paying for it, then they'll EXPECT their film to be on the DVD!

Double disc-set will double the prices...
We've got to set a limit, I think it should be a single disc volume...

Well, seeing as how Vertino is putting together the disc he'll get his on there no question!
But to be fair, if the films submitted are shorts then there shouldn't be a problem. 90 minutes should be enough for everyone to get on, within reason.
Throwing money at it essentially demands that you have your film on there. Let everyone submit and those that get on can then be asked to contribute, if necessary. I don't think it'll be a problem as after all of the talk last time not many films submitted tin the end.
I think we should wait until after the submission deadline and Vertino has a final number of films before we worry about money and stuff.
PS I've seen Vertino's menus and title graphics and they're kick ass. This one's gonna be good!

Once all the films have been submitted, everyone is welcome to come round to my flat, have a few beers and watch the films... then we all decide which films make it on the the DVD!!!
This relies on 2 things... firstly, that we get more films than there is room on the DVD for... and secondly, people from this forum actually want to meet outside this digital community?!
BTW... I'm going off on Holiday for a week... so I wont be replying to any emails until 23rd Feb!
So I take it no-one is interested in meeting up for beers... oh well... no surpirse there then!?

Also if any of the composers (especially Christian Marcussen and pauldrystonewall) want to use any of their music of the DVD menus/intro - that would be fantastic!!!
